PRECIOUS METALS ANALYSIS AND ASSAY

The manufacture of jewellery is an important activity in Valencian industry. The aim of the precious metals analysis and assay laboratory is the control of quality in the production of jewellery by analyzing the standard of the products that arrive for testing.
The laboratory has been accredited by ENAC since 1992 for the analysis and assay of objects made from precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) and is the laboratory authorized by the Autonomous Community of Valencia for performing this activity.
Analysis of Standards
Verification that the precious metal content in the product is not below established standards. These test standards take effect from 31st December 1996:

Assay with Hallmark
Application of hallmark with official punch as proof and control of the authenticity of the analyzed products, in compliance with the legal standard 17/1985 of July 1 pertaining to objects manufactured with precious metals and laid out in the Royal Decree, 197/1988 February 22, which approves the legislation of said legal standard.
